Transfering itune files to an external hard drive

Do all the transfers to the external hard drive first before doing anything with iTunes. Find the letter drive designation of the external hard drive.

Now open iTunes and go to “edit”, click on “preferences”.

Go to the “Advanced” tab..from there you can look at “iTunes music folder location”. Click on “change”, now designate where you want your music to go.
